Evidence-Based Programs

We don’t make up lessons. We use intervention programs grounded in the Science of Reading and proven effective for struggling readers. These programs are carefully chosen because research shows they produce results, and we adapt lessons only to meet individual needs—not to reinvent the wheel. This consistent, research-based approach ensures that every child is learning from the best possible methods and materials.

Assess → Match → Monitor

We start with assessment -- reviewing recently administered tests or doing our own -- and a short family interview to understand your child’s strengths and challenges, and to learn your goals. This information guides us in selecting the best-fit program and setting clear, measurable goals. From there, we track progress at regular intervals and adjust instruction as soon as needed—so we’re always working toward the best outcomes.

Focused, Frequent & Virtual

We meet with students online 2–4 times a week in short, targeted lessons that keep momentum high without overwhelming them. This virtual format means more flexibility for busy families and the ability to work with the best tutors regardless of location. We provide all materials digitally or by mail, so your child has everything they need to succeed from day one.

High Quality Instruction, Flexible Delivery

We believe effective reading intervention should be accessible to every family—without sacrificing quality.  That’s why all of our tutors are trained and supervised directly by our founder, a certified dyslexia interventionist with 30+ years of experience.

Our Tutoring Options:

  • Spark Literacy Tutor (Most Popular & Affordable)

Our tutors are carefully selected—often pre-service teachers with experience working with children—and then trained by us in proven, multi-sensory and evidence-based reading programs. Because these programs are designed to be followed with fidelity, and our tutors receive close supervision and coaching, families can trust that instruction will be consistent, research-based -- and effective.

  • CERI-Certified Dyslexia Interventionist (Limited Availability)

For families who prefer direct access to expert oversight, sessions can be led by our nationally certified dyslexia interventionist with 30+ years of experience. This option provides the same structured, evidence-based approach, delivered personally by an expert.

No matter which option you choose, your child’s instruction will:

  • Be matched through an initial reading assessment

  • Follow a structured, evidence-based program

  • Include frequent progress monitoring and be adjusted if needed

  • Take place virtually, 2–4 times per week for best results
